Winter is now in full effect. Have you noticed your skin changes from season to season? What about your beauty routine? My winter beauty routine differs from the Summer/Winter. This is due to my glow fading away. I don’t have that typical Latina glowy skin. The Winter always does the most damage. Here are some great Winter beauty must haves to add to your list.
I noticed myself that my skin becomes more itchy no matter what type of lotion I use. I will say coconut oil works the best when it comes to moisturizing in the Winter and early Spring. The best thing about coconut oil is it’s a universal product. You can use it as with food, skincare and as a beauty essential. You can even buy it anywhere. I first found my love for coconut oil in the organic cooking section at Walmart. If you purchase it in the beauty department, depending on the store you may by duping yourself. Normally you get a smaller version when purchasing within the beauty department or even a beauty store. Sorry Ulta and Sephora. The one brand I highly recommend is Shea Mositure. It’s not that much more expensive than the home brand.
You can’t forget mascara. If you’re a mom that can barely put a face on than mascara and concealer are your best friend. I’m very picky about mascara since my lashes don’t agree with the falsies. If I’m not using Benefit’s They’re Real then I’m using Urban Decay’s Perversion. I noticed the brush with Perversion helps volumize and lengthen them more better.
A few months back Sephora came out with their Brightening Concealer. I must say it work amazing. It costs more than the drugstore brand but less than the high-end brand. They added their own color correcting formula so you don’t really need to add that to your routine which can be time-consuming.
If your on a budget but need a highlighter E.L.F. is definitely a great choice. If you’re an avid Target shopper you should know during the holidays they normally team up with ELF to create their very own holiday sets. This past holiday they created a Get Glowing Highlighting Set. You can also just purchase the illuminating palette. If you don’t use it everyday it can last you quite some time. Lastly, Stila offers a great liquid lippe. The best part they offer the best sets. If you’re one that has no idea what color would look best on you getting a set would work best for you.
