We received a hosted stay to experience Tuxbury Tiny Houses RV & Resort
I’ve always seen documentaries or shows on HGTV about tiny houses and petite retreats but never thought about them until this past year after my in-laws purchased an RV last Summer! My husband and I recently had the opportunity to stay at Tuxbury Tiny Houses for the weekend and loved it. Ironically it was on the same land as their Tuxbury RV resort so it was even better. Because we loved our visit I thought I would share all about it!
The location is very private..
Tuxbury Tiny House Village is apart of Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in South Hampton, NH. Since they are in the outer part of the resort you are not around much which is great if you are looking for that type of visit. Very private and quiet. There are about five tiny houses who are named after someone and are anywhere from 180-275 sq. ft. We stayed in the HENRY which is catered for 1-2 people. You get a bathroom, a small living area, closet, kitchen and bedroom upstairs.
This is a family-friendly resort
A stayed with us for the first night and loved it for the most part. The small space did get to him because of his ADHD so he went off with the inlaws for the rest of the weekend. Since it is apart of the RV resort you have access to everything the resort offers. From two swimming pools, a store, playground, volleyball court, and all of the kid’s activities they have throughout the day and night. He did ask to come back because of everything they had. From being able to just go out and play to being able to head to the pool. You essentially get the best of both worlds from the RV Resort to staying at the Tiny Houses.
You are on the line of Massachusetts and Nee Hampshire sonic you want to enjoy the day there are tons of restaurants, beaches, museums and even wineries.
You should try Petite Retreats at least 1x in your life
Since meeting my husband I have become such a travelpreneur since his family travels so much. If you’re ever wondering what it would be like to live in close quarters with your husband or life partner before actually doing it, want to become a minimalist or just want that alone time Petite Retreats is great. Plus! They are presented by Encore RV resorts and Thousand Trails campgrounds, featuring more than 180 locations across North America. Petite Retreats offers guests the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in top vacation destinations while enjoying unique vacation accommodations, including tiny houses, colorful cottages, cabins, yurts, and more.
I would definitely rent another tiny house next year. We will opt for a bigger one so A could stay for longer and enjoy everything they offer. Plus he asked to come back next year which means he enjoyed himself. Tuxbury Tiny House Village was definitely worth it.

Wow! So coo – I really want to try a Petite Retreat! I’ve seen a model tiny home once, and really thought it was fab!

Oh my how fun! I’ve always wanted to stay in a tiny house, and secretly wanted to live in one, but doesn’t seem feasible as a family of 3 with one more on the way. 🙂 A quick stay though would be delightful!

I would love to stay in a tiny house for a night just to feel what it’s like! I’ll have to write this down as a place to visit!

I’ve always been a huge fan of the tiny home shows on TV. As a military family, we’ve talked a few times about living in a tiny home, since we move so much.
