Does your toddler eat PB&J? It’s August which means its back to school season. Did you know that PB&J is still the highest requested sandwich by children? I would’ve never thought.
Having a four year old can be no fun at times. At other times you just want to scream with excitement. I just sit in awe, with how much my son has learned over the last year. Now that he is starting his second year of pre-k making sure he gets all the energy he can is essential. One thing I can’t get over is how picky he can be. He barely eats meat which means he gets his protein and fruit from other places. One thing you would expect from a toddler is the snacking. Picky eating at four years old exists more now than at two or three years old. Finding the best pairing is what you need to do when dealing with a picky eater.
The imagination of a four-year old never ceases to amaze me. A is still obsessed with dinosaurs. Even after two years. As a parent of picky eater you have to compromise. No matter if you’re a stay at home parent, work at home parent or working out of the home. You want to make sure you’re child is getting the best from somewhere. Even after bringing a snack to the Summer program he comes home starving. Even a starving a toddler can still be picky. Sandwiches, crust and a toddler are not a good mix. That is when a crust cutter comes in. Parenting is all about compromising. So isn’t lunchtime. A picky eater who loves PB&J’s and dinosaurs but hates the crust just means finding a way to get around it. Find a pairing below just for the dinosaur lover.
How to make a Dinosaur Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich
Step 01.
Use a spoon
I’ve tried two different methods. A spoon works way better than a knife. Plus the bread may break if you use a knife. Scoop out Jif Peanut Butter with a spoon.
Step 02.
Spread evenly over bread (any type you choose)
Step 03.
Do the same with Smucker’s Fruit Spread
Step 04.
Next use a Dinosaur sand which cutter
Step 05.
Make sure you place it evenly on the bread so the Smucker’s doesn’t flow out on the sides.
Step 06.
Voila.
Step 07.
Pair with their favorite Mott’s® New 100% Juice Pouch so they can get 100% real fruit juice in each serving.
Making it fun makes lunch or snack time go easy without any hiccups.
So tell me, what do you give your kids?
Don’t forget to pick-up Jif Peanut Butter which has a creamy fresh roasted peanut taste.
Smucker’s Fruit Spread that is made with whole pieces of high-quality fruit. This also comes in seedless varieties. Great for the picky fruit eaters.
Mott’s 100% Juice Pouches that come in Apple, Apple White Grape, and Apple Mango. If you ever want to mix it up.
You can find all three items Jif,
Smucker’s Fruit Spread and Mott’s 100% Juice Pouches in the bread and energy drink aisle.
