Summer Clean Skincare Must Haves

You guys know I love trying new skincare products. Since it’s officially Summer vamping up your clean skincare routine isn’t such a bad idea. When I first started shopping at Target hardcore I would always see their beauty lines they offered. I would always see Pixi Beauty from the corner of my eye.

Pixi sent me a PR package last month and I’ve become obsessed with Pixi’s new Glow line.

My top 3 faves from Pixi Beauty Glow Line is:

Glow Tonic Serum: After I cleanse and tone I use this Glow Tonic Serum. I love using a great Serum especially for my combination skin. It helps give me that radiant shine. Pixi also has a great night time Serum if you’re looking for an evening one. I haven’t used their Skintreats Overnight Glow Serum but I’ve been using Dermae Collagen Boosting Serum.

pHenomenal Gel: This is a moisturizer that helps get your skin to its natural PH balance. Sometimes our skin just gets out of wack and welp which is why we always refer to our skin as adult or mom acne. After the Glow Serum dries I add a penny size and smooth on my skin.

On-The-Glow Moisture Stick: This is another moisturizer you can even use as a lip balm. I don’t use this alongside with the pHenomenal gel. Because I have combo based skin, using both makes my skin super oily. I do love using this stick when I’m in a rush and rushing my morning skincare routine. I’ll use it instead of the pHenomenal Gel. It’s a great travel pal or just on the go. Plus it’s a great size.

When I’m showering I use a good sugar scrub 2x a week.

Green Tiding and PREP are the two that I love using. PREP has so many but I mainly use their Mint & Eucalyptus scrub. They also have a good oatmeal and honey. I tried out Green Tiding coconut sugar scrub and loved how soft it made my skin feel.

Skin and Makeup Remover

Over the past two years I’ve been recommending Makeup Eraser and am a loyal customer. First of all it’s so convenient and literally only using water. You’re not putting any more products on your face just to remove your makeup. They even have an exfoliating side. I’ve been misplacing mine since the start of the year and have found a few gems at Tj Maxx for only $7.99 so if you’re on a budget and don’t want to spend the $20 try looking at Tj Maxx first.

Find a good Summer Skin SPF product

I tried out REN clean screen mineral SPF 30 and really loved it wasn’t so thick. I don’t wear much makeup during the Summer but if you do I would put this on before.

Primer or Face Spray

I got a sample a couple years ago from Evian and loved using it during the Summer. I recently picked up Wet N Wild Cucumber facial /primer spray and have loved using it so far. There are so many out there so choose the best one you love.

Facemasks

I could do a whole a blog post just about facemasks. Que Bella has been one of my fave brands for years. When I want to brighten my skin I try and look for their Papaya based peel off or any of their sheet masks. If you have sensitive skin their rosehip mask can irritate your skin. I can’t use one for more than 5 minutes.
