Slay Like a Queen

Sometimes it can be tough being a parent especially being a stay at home mom. I’ve always worked but now being a mother staying home is where I’m meant to be. Always having the feeling of having my own money coming in and then nothing sometimes feels odd when I’m not contributing. I know I am contributing by molding our son. For now anyways. I’ve always wanted to own my own business but I was never exactly sure what I wanted to do. When I was younger I wanted to run my boutique but was always scared about having enough traffic in and out to keep it afloat.

Two years ago during my junior year of college while interning for a food blog, I discovered the world of blogging and that was a wrap. I have started to make some money from this blog which has helped our a bit. Learning about the mom community also if you work super hard you can make your blog into a full fledged business. You can become a brand. Just like Teresa Mendoza in Queen of the South. She hustles and works hard for what she wants and needs to survive. 

Ever since the show premiered last Summer I never miss an episode. I’m always reeling every week to see what happens next. Getting ready for the show each week is even more lovely. I at least always have a glass of wine in hand if I’m alone.

The new season premieres Thursdays on USA at 10/9c so my that’s normally my time to wind down. Since the show is towards the end of the week I can get away with it during the Summer now. For whatever reason if my son isn’t sleeping or I just want time to myself, I can always ask my in laws or parents to watch my son for the while I catch up and make it a night in.
