This post is sponsored by Theraflu but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
Now that December is officially here and Thanksgiving is done and over; the holiday season is in full force. This means we are in busy mode until the end of the year. That is why I do my best to make sure getting sick is not on the list. One little cough can turn into a full blown attack or worse a month long cold. Also, my five-year-old getting sick. I can’t have that during the busiest season of the year. That is why today I am sharing quick and easy tips to avoid getting sick during this holiday season, plus what to do if you or your family does get a cold or the flu!
Quick and easy tips to avoid getting sick during the cold weather season, Plus What to Use To Relieve Symptoms Fast If You Do Get The Flu
Sanitize: Make sure you sanitize everything. From hand sanitizer to spray. You never know what germs can be sneaking around. Especially when A can bring home germs from school, that is not even on my radar at this point. With the colder weather in New England, you never know when colds or the icky flu will show up at our house.
Pre-plan: When you don’t pre-plan it can cause stress overload. Especially when the kiddos are still in school. Stress is always a no-go when having to plan for a big event. Not many realize how big the holiday season can be. I will admit in recent years I have stressed out. From work to money issues when having to spend during the season. With the stress always came the illness that I could never shake off.
Wake up early: When you start to feel sluggish you need to get moving. That’s why waking up early is essential. Even though it may feel like oh my I can’t even roll out of bed. You would be surprised at how much of a difference it can feel when you start your day off early.
Go to bed early: During those days you feel it coming on go to bed early. Closing the day off early can help. It also can make a difference on your body. That’s why I will not forget to take Theraflu Nighttime Severe Cold. It even comes in Honey Lemon Infused Chamomile & White Tea flavor. Which honestly tastes like you are drinking a cup of hot tea.
Start and end your day with Theraflu Powerpods: When I wake up feeling like I have a cold, I make sure I beat symptoms with Theraflu. Theraflu just came out with its new way to tackle the cold and flu season with Theraflu PowerPods —their new way to “do sick differently” and get fast relief, brewed instantly. With Theraflu, I am beating those head colds before they get there. Just pop one in your single serve coffee pod machine and go. Plus it comes in a great flavor (Berry w/Menthol and Green Tea). It doesn’t even taste like you are consuming any type of cold medicine. I can’t afford for cold and flu symptoms to bring me down especially with a five-year-old around.
I love how quick and easy these are to use and they are compatible with most single serve coffee pod machines. Plus you can sip on it as you are doing other things. Like, watching your fave episodes, doing some online shopping or even taking the littles a bath. Not to mention they can help relieve your most severe cold and flu symptoms including nasal congestion, sore throat, cough, headache, body aches, and fever.
