Friends! We have the most exciting news. We beat PCOS’s butt and are officially expecting baby #2! We tried so hard to keep it quiet but sometimes you just get too excited when it comes to being pregnant. This pregnancy will be a different one. I am considered plus size so doing things different this time around is essential. Below I am listing some ways I was able to combat PCOS and having a natural pregnancy.

Since stopping the pill in December tracking my cycle was a must. You can checkout my whole post tracking your cycle with PCOS when I used OvuSense (add post here).
A lot of women with PCOS like to use different supplements but that’s just too hard for me. One I did take faithfully was Pink Stork Fertility Tea. I can’t say it will work for everyone but I do feel that it did work for me.
Two things I did use was: OvuSense and I adopted the anti inflammatory diet. With PCOS many of use tend to have inflammation. My cycle works like clockwork when it’s under a certain weight.
OvuSense Worked
Cycle 1 no ovulation was detected. I was pretty bummed and was going to to stop for a while until I went and saw an OBGYN. I figured it’s the 1st month off of birth control so let’s just test for a couple more months. My cycle did become like clockwork.

Cycle 2 was a success! Based on Ovia and the health tracker on my iPhone; it said I would ovulate the week of Jan 8th 2020. Then OvuSense popped up stating I ovulated on Jan 8th 2020. Instead of guessing OvuSense does all the work for you. That and it gives you the exact date of when you are ovulating. Not just a time frame.
Normally OvuSense will say you are in your fertile week or ovulation will be on such and such day. That didn’t happen during my second cycle but it did detect my ovulation.
I did feel pregnancy symptoms
Within 2 weeks after conception I did feel different. Every pregnancy is different. This one is absolutely different. My miscarriage and being pregnant with A was similar. Morning sickness started and noticed at first.

I just felt like I was out of breath, could not focus and just needed to lay down more frequently. The day I should’ve expected my period welp I was pregnant. I took one test 1/18 and another on 1/19. I was still in complete shock that I had to retake on 1/21 and it was also positive.
Your baby bump may show sooner
I’ve always heard women state that they definitely had shown more. Since I had a miscarriage prior to A my baby bump with him started showing early but not this early. We went on our family cruise a couple weeks back and felt like my bump was already showing. Hence why I did not share any of my cruise tips yet.

Officially 8 weeks pregnant today
Baby is the size of a raspberry and welp the need for ginger , B6 and seabands has started. Morning sickness is nowhere like it was with A. The obgyn said count your blessings even though I do tend to worry since I have PCOS and have no idea how my body/hormones are as of yet. I’m trying to normalize myself as a plus size pregnancy so gaining too much weight will always be on my mind. Starting with a healthy mind frame is super important.
I will be updating you all throughout with tips and tricks to battle pregnancy and having PCOS.
