It’s been about a month since we moved into our new home. One thing we decided before even moving was doing a full Jurassic World Dinosaur themed room. If you have been following the blog over the past two years you know that A is dinosaur crazed. We thought it was a phase but nope. Ever since A was two and a half he’s first got a glimpse of Jurassic World been obsessed with Jurassic World. He’s now five and is still obsessed. That’s why we decided on a Jurassic World bedroom.
A’s Jurassic World Dinosaur Room Review
We purchased most of the items from Target and Walmart which were super affordable. Like his bedspread and fleece blanket.
The BAB stuffed animal we purchased from Build A Bear at Disney Springs two years ago and he’s loved it ever since.
A couple weeks back I was browsing Target and saw this Jurrasic World nightlight and had to have it. It only stays on for 15 minutes at a time which is great since we don’t want to burn up the electricity. Am I right 🤷!!
Don’t you just love when you are just browsing and find the best gems?
I’ve heard so many good things about weighted blankets and how good they are for kids who have ADHD. Sometimes he likes laying on his rug with it. Hence why it is on the floor. This cute dino one is from Happy Blankie. We found this Jurassic World ceramic bank. When I first purchased it and brought it home I took it out of the bag and set it on his dresser. That’s when I realized the nail on T-Rex got knicked. They didn’t have any more in store and by then A was obsessed with it he wouldn’t let it go. Since it was only $10 we opted to keep it. 🤷
Lastly and not least the best part of his room was the T-Rex Fathead. It took a little while to put up but once it was up he was in shock. His expression was priceless.
It’s definitely a process to put up but so worth it. It’s also super easy to take down which is the best. If he ever outgrows dinos there’s no damage to the wall and looks like new. It was a toss between Blue Velociraptor and T-Rex. Since most his room has mostly Blue anyways we opted for T-Rex since he loves them both. You can find the whole collection HERE
*Thank you, Fathead, for providing our T-Rex decal. It was the best part of the room.

This is so fun! I love that the giant dino can easily be taken down in the future without damage. That nightlight is super cute as well!

I love the style of this room because you didn’t just go full out dino, you created a comprehensive colour scheme and stuck to it (even with the toys!). I love that so much! Great work.
Jalisa
RachAww thanks. You’re so sweet. I definitely wanted to do something where if he transitioned to something else it would be so much easier to change to switch up.

My oldest is 7 and on the autism spectrum. He has been OBSESSED with dinosaurs since forever. This kid could tell you everything you ever wanted or didn’t want to know about dinosaurs. He LOVES all the Jurassic parks old and new. He already has an entire toy box filled to the brim with Jurassic world dinosaurs and other dinosaurs toys. He’s got a blanket and a lamp too. He would love this room.

KaylaOh my gosh. My son too since he was three. He has ADHD and literally even sat through the whole 2nd Jurassic World I was astonished.
