Ice Castles In Lincoln New Hampshire
This past weekend I attended Ice Castles in Lincoln, NH. If you’re a fan of the White Mountains this is a must see. There is a cold difference before heading in compared to just sitting outside. All in all it will be a cold visit.
You do need to arrive 30 minutes before your alloted time in order to be allowed in. Our tickets were timed for 12:30pm and we went in at 12:05pm. You are able to stay as long as you would like after that but make sure you purchase your tickets online or you may not be able to enter. Since we opted for the day time we were able to be there for souvenir photos with Ana and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen. They don’t let you take the photos while they are taking the photos also just an fyi.
When entering you can see how the light of the sky changes. Also the climate and temperature drops. There isn’t a huge array of space that’s the reason why you have you purchase in blocks of time.
After you get through the beginning part of the ice castles you get towards the center. There is a small slide small children can go up and down which is great if you have small children. One great thing also. You are able to bring plastic sleds in for the smaller children to sled around in case they get tired.
They do have a bigger slide even adults can slide through. Make sure you bring extra gloves, hates and snow gear if you decide to ride the snow slide.
They even had a fountain. Depicting the one in the Frozen Movie.
They had a frozen iced bench which is a nice theme. You can take great pictures. Avery even let us take a family photo. What about that. That has been rare since he has turned three..
If you do start to get cold they do have concessions. They offered hot chocolate and cinnabuns for about $3 each. We live about 2 hours away so we didn’t stay too long.
Ice Castles are a definite must see. They make a great date night too. They light up the castles with Led lighting that you can see for miles. It’s definitely a must see travel attraction for all ages.
Check them out before the season ends
Lincoln, NH 03521
They also have different locations available in
UT,NH,MN,WI and AB!
Disclosure :We received free passes to help facilitate this post. All opinions are 100% my own.
Wow! I’m a bit sad I never knew that was there! My husband was stationed in Boston for 3 years (we JUST moved to CT) and we lived in Methuen, MA right on the NH border! I think now, we just need to make the trip back for this, after all, it’s only 3 hrs ?
Hahaha ironic I lived 5 minutes from Methuen up until 2 years ago. Now I live more North of Boston.
These are so cool to look at just in the pictures, I can only imagine how awesome it was to see them in person, and go inside them! Thanks for sharing so many photos!
Oh yes. When I first saw them I couldn’t understand how small they were. They walking around and inside them they were huge.
This is my first time hearing of the ice castles but it is absolutely breathtaking! I would love the chance to visit one day xx
I would deff try and make it out there one day at least.

Ooh, this looks so fun! It’s kind of a hike for me (5½ hrs from Long Island) but if I’m ever up that way in the winter I’ll make it a point to visit!
It would be a great Winter getaway.
Oh wow – this looks like a winter wonderland! I want to see the Icecastles – wish I lived closer! What a unique activity!
I would check and see if any nearby places offered something similar.
