Recently many of you asked for more simple clean skincare tips over on my IG stories. It’s really super easy and have started adding more of this on my Instagram. No, I am not one of those who will DM you harassing about joining another MLM. I actually use everyday products that are super easy and affordable to purchase.
Over the past year and half I have dived into a more clean skincare regimen. Moreso because I want to be 50 and have amazing skin. Plus, I wear minimal makeup as it is, so I want to make sure my natural skin is in tip-top shape. That’s why starting with the basics is the best way to go.
How to transition to a clean skincare routine?
I always make sure I have everything I need to wash my face. From cleanser, toner, eye cream to moisturizer is a great way to start swapping out at first.
Makeup Remover
My ultimate favorite makeup remover is the Makeup Eraser brand. A microfiber cloth that even removes waterproof makeup. It’s literally the best plus it is a great travel product. A definite must have that can last up to 3-4 years and only $20.
Micellar Water
This hasn’t always been apart of my routine but I heard great things about Micellar Water and had to give it a try after I remove my makeup and love it. There are so many different brands but THIS one will work great. THIS cucumber one also works amazing.
Cleanser
I love using Soap & Glory Vitamin C. When they are out of stock I also use Clean and Clear Morning Burst; which also works the same.
Toner
This is huge for me. I ran out before we moved, went on vacation and could see a huge difference from not using it. That’s why using Witch Hazel is so essential. My all-time favorite is Dickinsons Hydrating Witch Hazel Toner . I also picked up THIS one (Humphreys) at my local Marshalls.
Serum
I use a few different kinds. In the morning I use a really good rose gold serum and also collagen peptides serum.
Dermae Advanced Peptides Collagen Serum
In the evening I love using Cosmedix Hydrating Serum and Dermae Vitamin C.
Evening Routine
I’ve always used Clean and Clear but if you can splurge; try using a vitamin C option. Dermae Vitamin C Serum, Moisturizer & Night Cream and Clean & Clear Morning Burst are definite must-haves.
Face Masks
There are so many to choose from but these below are great ones to start with.
Face Oils
Recently I’ve been into trying out essential oils faithfully and can definitely tell a difference when I don’t use them. I even made my own PCOS blend which is awesome. That’s when I found about face oil. I had no idea they even existed.
Healing Natural Oils offers a really great night face oil. They help nourish, moisturize and improve skin elasticity. Plus they help promote clear and lustrous skin. Who doesn’t love that? Right before you put on your moisturizer just use 2-3 drops and voila. It works so well on my skin since I combination based skin. Plus right now you can even get $10 off your first order.
There you have it. A super easy guide on how to start a non-toxic skincare routine. I always aim to use more affordable products which is why I research certain products before I use them.
