Happy 2017 to all my readers
Happy New Year. Five days into the new year. I know I’m late. What are you doing? So many new things will be coming to the blog this year. Over the last month you may have seen some changes already. Firstly, this is a moms guide to being on a budget. I will say, this is not your average budget blog. You won’t see couponing but will see more fab finds and shopping guides for real moms. Ways to help simplify your life by finding style, beauty, & lifestyle trends in between motherhood. We all know how motherhood can be. Sometimes, losing our funk makes us realize where we need to be. I have been there. This month we will be having a giveaway with a lipsense start pack and also a monthly newsletter will be going out. Make sure you subscribe. Lastly, since you will see some shopping/deal posts I will be incorporating style blog posts. This can also help envision what you would be buying instead of just seeing a picture online or in store.
Now, for how the blog has done over the last six months.
Blogging has definitely made me grow as a person. I’m normally the shy girl in the room. I’m the one who just barely expresses herself to others. Never mind strangers. I did my first style post for the first post for the new year. I even brought in tons of viewers. As a blogger you can find your place personally and professionally. Hey and you may even become a better and open person.
Did you know? Plenty of people blog so they can use the money they earn for vacations, stay home with their children (child care and even public pre-k can cost as much as a mortgage) and even their retirement funds. Let’s not forget student loans. A lot of times blogs become a full fledged business and many bloggers blog full time. It’s not something where you go to a job and get paid in two weeks. Your not just posting to Instagram. It takes hard work to build up your blog and social media outlets. It’s definitely something you have to have a passion and work for. If you don’t, you will not succeed. The last thing I will say my hopes for this blog over the next year will be growth. I can’t wait to see what next years new year post will be.
Since becoming a stay at home mom since November I have realized a few things that I want to improve on. I used to work mid day and nights so I didn’t have anytime for much. Spending more family time with my husband and son is a big one. Sometimes it feels weird how much time I’m spending with them now. Another one will be spending more one on one time with my husband. This blog has made me realize what it is I need to succeed. My goal is to help others who are or were in a similar situation as myself. Broke, on a budget but wanting to look, live & travel Haute like they were never on a money crunch.
