Who doesn’t love a good slushie? This fruit punch slushie is a definite must have this Summer especially to cool down the kids.
Hey there Summer can we slow down for a sec? We’re always looking for a great way to cool down this Summer since going out isn’t a big factor. Plus we’ve been doing all of our backyard activities I shared a while back. That’s why we’ve been opting in making these fruit punch slushies.
Even as an adult slushies are so fun. You can even add your own booze or keep them how the kids love to drink them. You can even put your own fruit in them and put less or more sugar whichever you want. We opt for less sugar. In between ADHD and PCOS sugar is a definite way to increase those symptoms.
A simple slushie we decided to try out on our own is this fruit punch slushie. All you need is a blender ( I use our Nutribullet RX) ice cubes, fruit punch flavoring and water.
I love a good slushie but they do tend to have a ton of sugar so making a homemade slushie works out great for us. So I’m happy to report that this 3 minute fruit punch slushie tastes even better than the store bought ones. My easy low sugar fruit punch slushie includes ice, water, fruit and a liquid enhancer.
How to make a 3 Minute Fruit Punch Slushie
It’s pretty easy. I don’t know how I didn’t think about making my own before. First off you need 3 cups of ice and add them to your blender or whatever you would use to blend everything up.
Grab some fresh fruit to make it even more fruity. We love using berries and strawberries to help compliment almost everything. Then add 2-3 tablespoons of your favorite liquid enhancer. We normally like using MIO Fruit Punch. Then voila. Blend everything up and you end up having a delicious slushie.
3 Minute Fruit Punch Slushie
- 3 cups ice
- 2 cups water
- 3 tbsp liquid enhancer
- 1 cup fruit
- Add in all ingredients in blender
- Blend up until all ice is crushed and almost liquidized
- Voila. All done.
