Storyland in New Hampshire
It’s one of those places that you always wish you could take your child to. You really wish it was like any place even for adults. It’s one of those amusement parks where you get the best of both worlds. Storyland has enough entertainment for the kids and just enough for the adults. It’s perfect where they have rides for adults and rides for the kids. For A its perfect.
That’s how we spent the last weekend. Storyland is a little over two hours away from Massachusetts. Deep in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We found a nearby hotel to stay for the weekend so we didn’t get stuck driving the long drive. The park is open daily from 9:30am EST-5PM EST which is great. If you choose to drive to and from. Your not stuck driving until midnight. Most amusement parks close around 10pm.
It started raining when we first got there about 25 minutes later the sun was shining and it was 85 degrees.
This meant it was a great day for shorts, tee and tennies or converse. The best momiform.
Storyland is made up of your very own preschool nursery rhymes you learned as a kid. The best part is they just opened up their very own dinosaur themed portion of the park. If anyone knows me or this blog they know that A is a huge dinosaur lover. He was so excited when we came over to the dinosaur park. He wasn’t tall enough to ride the Roar-o-Saurus but he was pretty content with everything else for a four-year old.
They don’t have a water park but they do have three family friendly water friendly water rides that can get you pretty soaked including Splash Battle Pharaoh’s Reign. They also have super soaker sprinklers all over the park which helps for the kids on a hot day like we had.
Even though we went on a Saturday it wasn’t super congested and no long lines which was great.
