Today I’m sharing a great diy recipe for a sugar scrub. You can make anytime. You can always edit it for anytime of the year. This one is great especially for Valentines Day.
I’ve been about all things healthy, diy and simple lately. Especially when it comes to skincare. If you watched my Instastories yesterday I explained 5 random facts about myself which one was I am a huge skincare fanatic.
Having A toddler only in part time pre-k means you have to create an easy atmosphere. A is in pre-k Mon-Fri 8-10:45 so having a little time for myself to either catch up on work (blog stuff) or just have a little time to myself is always great. This recipe is easy to have the kids help out with. You can also do during nap time, after dinner or while they are even eating snack or lunch.
Easy Valentine’s Day Sugar Scrub Recipe
Ingredients
1 Cup of Sugar
1/2 Cup of Organic Coconut Oil
1/3 Cup of Sea Salt
Lavender Essential Oil
1-4 drop of food coloring
Directions
Combine all dry ingredients together with a whisk or food processor. Then add in oils slowly. Stir until all are evenly stirred and combined. Add 1-2 drops of food coloring and mix. At this point the scrub should be light pink. Add more food coloring as desired and evenly mix. Once this is done evenly dispense into jars or bowls of your choice.
After I did this I had to add more sugar because it was way to light and seemed less rough. If you do this add a little at a time.
Voila. It is all done. This makes a great skincare item, a great gift or something for the whole family. Plus you kids would love to make this.
