Having a full-time kindergartener can be a challenge at times. Especially after school. Since moving mid-year; after school, bus pickup can be such a struggle. Lunch and snack time are much earlier than what A is used to; so as soon as he gets off the bus he wants a tasty treat. We always aim for a rewards system since it’s been a struggle transitioning for a hyperactive kindergartener. That’s why today I am sharing a simple after-school kids treat idea just for hyperactive kids.
Easy after-school rewards treat idea for hyperactive kids
We always know when he has a bad day so when a good day comes and goes enforcing positive reinforcement is something as a parent you act on quickly. Especially, with a hyperactive child.
Recently we went to our local Walmart and found Betty Lou’s Fruit Bars and thought? This is the perfect after-school pick me up treat for his reward days.
How to offer reward treats after-school?
Have you tried Betty Lou’s Fruit Bars as an after-school treat idea? What are some of your faves you can give to a hyperactive child?

I have a hard-to-handle kindergartener too. He nearly always gets his homework done at school, but we have daily piano and review time.
And, after spending so much time in his classroom this year, I can absolutely see why he’s so wound up and obnoxious when he gets home… like today, he spent almost an HOUR on a computer based reading test. AN HOUR… for a SIX YEAR OLD… and they still have a computer-based math test, a dyslexia test, and another progress report test to do in the next week and a half. NO WONDER HE IS SUCH A MESS!
Our school just announced they’re cutting art next year too.
