Back to school means late-night football practices, weekend games and keeping this little man’s hunger under control until dinnertime. We started football this past week and realized that a snack is crucial.
We didn’t have a great transition from moving mid-year kindergarten, so first grade will be a fresh start. I wanted to get him into something that will help his confidence but also help him make friends. So football it is! One downside, once school starts he only has an hour before we have to head out to his football practice.
It becomes a total mom win when I know exactly what to give for a snack.
One thing I’ve been doing more often is grocery shopping, especially for snacks. A is such a snacker but also a hyperactive kid so finding something other than junk food is what I try and aim for. That’s why I love stocking up on Yoplait products from Walmart (also online grocery pickup is a BIG plus). It’s a total mom win in my book when he tells me he “loves his snack!” that I have packed for him.
How to win at snack time after school!
1. Give a snack they’ll enjoy
Yoplait has so many options for the kiddos. From core cups to Go-Gurts and even their newest Dunkers.
2. Keep it simple
Since A is a snacker having a go-to snack he can just grab and go is important. When you’re on the go you want something that is mess-free for the most part. I always make sure we stock up on Yoplait Go-Gurt. Even on a hot day, he’ll grab these. I give A Go-Gurt on the go and he is happy and full and I win as a mom. They remind him of ice cream which is a plus. He also loves crackers so their new Dunkers are a win too.
3. Balanced snacking options at an incredible value and variety for the whole family!
No matter if I online grocery shop or head in and spend the time at the store, I know we can always get what we need at Walmart. I always know I can get a good deal. Especially now when stocking up for back to school. It’s the best of both worlds.
What is your favorite snack for after school?

My girls love go-gurt, but I have never heard of the “Dunkers”. I will definitely have to get those for my girls.
