And he’s back

It’s been about a week since my last post which is not like me. Trying to switch up my blog theme has been such a project. It’s finally done..
If anyone knows having your first baby boy can be challenging. I may be an overprotective mama bear but my munchkin was gone from Thurs-Sun. I decided to send him on a weekend trip with my in laws. Oh how did I deal? I thought it would be tough. Only our second time being away from each other for more than two days.
The first night away was rough for him. When he called me before bedtime he was cranky and crying for me. This had me in tears. My baby is three years old taking his first mini road trip to New Jersey and I’m not there to comfort you. After this incident, I decided to try and not call or facetime with him.
It was the hardest thing I had ever done. But, it was necessary. For the most part, he behaved relatively well. Once he got home, he creeped downstairs and said “Surprise Mommy I’m Home”. All from my little three year old. I would never think he would ever think to be so proper but baby like. Telling me all his stories of his adventures this past weekend was the highlight of my Sunday evening.
