Baby #2 is officially 24 weeks. This 2nd pregnancy is definitely different than the first. Things have been slow but productive. Definitely not like being pregnant with A. With him I was sick everyday up until 35 weeks. Definitely not a way to spend your first pregnancy. Stepping back and dealing with social distancing has been hard on us as a family. So I’ve been taking a bit of time mentally to situate things.
This pregnancy is a little more than halfway over. Definitely feeling better than usual. Like a normal person. So I’m hoping to get back to writing more. I love reading about everyone’s bump date. They are all interesting to read from woman to woman.
2nd pregnancy update
Due Date
9/28 but having a scheduled c section on 9/23.
How many weeks currently?
I’m currently 24w5d.
Highlights during this pregnancy at this point
- Fatigue has finally come and gone
- No morning sickness but I do have acid reflux that can make me so sick that I do vomit. I normally use Unisom. The one that has Doxylamine Succinate. You should always consult with your dr before taking anything.
- Baby is near my pelvic area which I don’t remember during my last pregnancy. It gives me a sigh of relief but sometimes I get shocked when he kicks me.
CRAVINGS
If I could I would have an Italian sub everyday of the week. Since deli meat isn’t really the best I’m sure I’ll have one the day I give birth. Mexican is my number 2. For the mornings I’ve been obsessed with the Oreida egg mix ins. I literally have one every morning.
One thing Baby H loves is cheese and seafood. Every time I eat them my belly goes crazy.
STAYING ACTIVE
This has literally been nonexistent. Thank you asthma. With A asthma wasn’t a huge concern. This baby it is so much. Anytime I go up or down our stairs in our home my belly gets hard and chest gets so tight. I end up having to use my rescue inhaler which before pregnancy may wold use once every year.
SLEEP ROUTINE
If I don’t take Unisom then I have insomnia. I literally won’t go to bed until 4am. So Unisom ends up being a 2 in 1 for me. So once A goes to bed around 9:30ish I take it then.
ANY AVERSIONS?
I have had to switch up my prenatal every so often. I have small airways as it is so it’s hard to swallow pills. Some days I’ll take Pink Stork Fertility Capsules. Other days I might still take Smarty Pants Prenatal Gummy. My teeth are already sensitive which is why I might switch in between the two.
BACK PAIN?
My back started to hurt after 20 weeks. With A I never had this type of pain. First I invested in the Boppy Pregnancy Pillow. This pillow also helps me to not roll onto my belly. Every night I use Pink Stork Pregnancy Flakes. It basically 100% Dead Sea Salt and magnesium. This works better than Epsom salt for me. For other soon to be moms they have said Epsom salt has also worked fine for them. It just really depends on the person.
What I’ve been wearing?

Since Summer is here I’ve been wearing a combo of leggings, shorts and tees. I’ve fallen in love with Biker Shorts and found affordable maternity ones at Target. You can see below a bunch of stuff I’ve been wearing.
